It seems as though the timing for our new album couldn't be more perfect. With a global Occupation running rampant, what better time for a little subversive hip-hop to accompany the mood. It is with great optimism that the Occupy Movement is just the beginning stages of a national (global?) revolution of sorts...one in which, class warfare finally takes center stage. Don't be mistaken: "...this is class warfare, and if you don't care, consider yourself dead, cause you're one of two in cross-hairs...". We've been speaking of similar topics for many years in our music, and feel as though all artists and open-minds must continue to deliver their message and share their creative work. It's only a matter of little time before our long labor of love is finally introduced to you...We couldn't ask for a more perfect backdrop...

As promised, a nearly complete "untitled" track off the upcoming album!
Sorry for the delay everyone! Just as we were wrapping up writing, a song we like to call "Pink Sock" popped up last minute...and instead of leaving this intriguing track off the album, we've decided to finish it up for inclusion. This shouldn't delay us too much more and we are now aiming for a November 29th release date. More info is soon to follow!!!
Apologize for the long delay between updates...Trust me, a quiet Fifth Faction means that we are working hard to wrap up the new album. Thing's are progressing nicely and in due time I "should" have plenty of info on a release date!!! I can confirm that the new album will have 13 tracks! And I can also confirm that you haven't heard anything quite like this from Fifth Faction before!
With the temps rising here in LA, we are putting in harder work to wrap up the new album (#4)! Our un-airconditioned studio is no place for inspiring music to be made. Though it does offer a charming feeling of what hells ass-crack might be like...anyways, lyrics are 90% done! The music is being fine tuned, and now I am starting to wonder what might this latest piece of Fifth Faction artistry be titled. I hope to have more sneak-peaks available soon and sometime this month will be announcing the OFFICIAL RELEASE date!!!
So, on this 4th of July eve, I do wish all Fifth Faction supporters a safe and enjoyable day! Remember; 4th of July is a day to celebrate "INDEPENDENCE FROM GOVERNMENT TYRANNY!" As always, I will be cooking PIG in various fashions, and of course, offering a fine spectacle of aerial lights!

Join grassroots leaders from Arizona in marching to the State Capital demanding justice and equality for immigrant families. The rally will be in Phoenix on Saturday, April 23rd at 11am starting at Cesar Chavez Plaza at 200 W. Jefferson and ending at the State Capitol (1700 W. Washington). We urge any artist, band or supporter to join us.
The boycott is working thanks in large part to the role you have played. Recently, several Arizona Republican Senators were key in voting down five (5) immigrant hater bills, including Pearce favorite birthright citizenship repeal, after big business told them to do so. In a letter signed by 60 business leaders Russell Pearce was urged to halt many immigrant hater bills citing the Boycott.
“boycotts were called against our State’s business community, adversely impacting our already-struggling economy and costing us jobs. Arizona-based businesses saw contracts canceled or were turned away from bidding, Sales outside of the state declined...each of our companies and our employees were impacted by the boycotts and the coincident negative image.”
The Arizona government's well deserved reputation as a racist State has cost the Arizona millions of dollars. As a result, other States and Counties are seeing the futility of passing similar bills. While some SB1070 copycat bills are unfortunately passing in heavy tea party states, similar bills have failed in Utah, Colorado, Texas, California, Freemont, Nebraska, and other places. A major voice is those debates have been the fear of drawing a boycott. Thank you for playing a part in making the boycott a powerful strategy.
We want to encourage artists to also include some of this content in your art and during performances. We have some ideas to share about stories of people and communities standing up to racism and fighting back. These are remarkable stories that could inspire powerful art.
